The Los Angeles Clippers don't have any championships in franchise history. Heck, they haven't even played in the Finals once.

However, the franchise has actually been home to some great players despite the organization's lack of hardware.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at the notable free-agent signings the Clippers have made since becoming an NBA team in 1970.

May 13, 1979

The San Diego Clippers signed Bill Walton as a veteran free agent. The Hall of Famer averaged 11.9 points and 9.0 rebounds in 169 games with the franchise. He did miss two full seasons as well due to injury.

October 28, 1982

The Clippers brought back Randy Smith for 65 games before waiving him. The two-time All-Star put up 9.1 points and 3.0 assists with San Diego in 1982-83.

September 27, 1985

The Clippers were now in Los Angeles and signed Jamaal Wilkes as a free agent. The Hall of Famer averaged 5.8 points and 1.2 assists in his lone season with the Clippers after spending eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.

October 25, 1993

Three-time All-Star Mark Aguirre joined LAC after playing five seasons with the Detroit Pistons. He put up 10.6 points and 3.0 rebounds during the 1993-94 season before getting waived in February.

September 29, 2000

The Clippers signed 5-foot-5 Earl Boykins. The point guard averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 assists in 78 games with Los Angeles.

September 27, 2003

Bobby Simmons won the 2004-05 Most Improved Player of the Year Award with the Clippers. He averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists that season.

Simmons finished his L.A. career with averages of 12.7 points.

October 10, 2003

Former Charlotte Hornets star Glen Rice joined the team, only to get waived after 18 games. Rice put up 3.7 points with L.A.

August 3, 2005

The Clippers added Cuttino Mobley after the lefty played for the Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings during the 2004-05 campaign. He put up 13.8 points and 2.7 assists in 245 games with the franchise.

July 9, 2008

A two-time All-Star, Baron Davis joined the Clippers and played two and a half years in L.A. before getting traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He finished his LAC career with averages of 14.6 points and 7.6 assists.

July 11, 2012

The Clippers signed Jamal Crawford as a free agent. He put up 15.3 points in 370 games with the franchise. He also won two Sixth Man of the Year Awards.

July 18, 2012

L.A. added Hall of Famer Grant Hill. He averaged 3.2 points during his one year in Clipper Land.

July 10, 2015

The Clippers signed Paul Pierce, reuniting him with Doc Rivers. The Truth put up 5.4 points in 93 games with the team.

July 9, 2019

The biggest move in franchise history, the Clippers signed Kawhi Leonard. He's a two-time Finals MVP and two-time Defensive Player of the Year.
